WIRELESS DOG FENCES SAFETY TIPS AND HINTS
The people of Wireless Dog Fences 4 Less understand how much you love your four legged friends. You want to provide them with plenty of freedom to be their selves and you want to protect them from danger. We want to provide you with the necessary tools to make that happen. Here we have provided a few safety tips and suggestions to ensure you get optimal safety and performance from our wireless dog fences.
- The transmitter must be placed somewhere safe in the home, garage, or tool shed to avoid any damage on the system. Once you have decided on the safe area and have completed the set up, the transmitter will then emit a radio signal that will define confining area.
- To avoid unnecessary signal interruption, we suggest not leaving the receiver collar on while the dog is in the home.
- The dog’s receiver collar is waterproof, but the transmitter is not. If the transmitter was to get wet, the emitted signal will be damaged.
- Please be mindful that a wireless system will not be effective if the yard has any drop-offs or steep slope in part of the contained area. This only means that dog owners must also consider some of the other dog containment fences that we offer for a better fit.
- The attitude and size of the dog is also a key factor. If the dog owner is aware that they have stubborn dog that is larger then the fences are designed for, may want to consider a more appropriate product.
- For a more reliable and safer set up, always follow the instructions in the provided manual that explains training and installation, or ask our friendly customer service representatives for assistance.
- Each wireless dog fence is adjustable for a suitable range for the yard and an appropriate level of pulse correction for the dog.
- Mark the end of the boundary area by putting up training flags, so that the dog owners and the dogs can easily remember the defined containment area.
- If the dog owner has multiple dogs in the home, we have extra transmitters and training collars available to purchase with your wireless dog fence kit.
- Do not worry about unwanted power loss of the wireless dog fence that might harm the dog, because we also feature an automatic safety shut off on the system.
- No wires! The wireless is dog fence is easy to install and free from burying wires that could damage the yard or home.
